Thanks to Franz Hoffmann!
From June 18, 1994, at the Askersund, Sweden Jazz Festival: Bent Persson, cornet; Mike Pointon, trombone, vocal; Tomas Ornberg, clarinet, alto sax; possibly Ray Smith, piano; Tom Stuip, banjo; unknown (perhaps Bo Juhlin?), brass bass.
Flying all the way, they do HEEBIE JEEBIES — a very funny version for those who know the “original story”; a rousing CHATTANOOGA STOMP from the Creole Jazz Band book — with great Mortonish emphatic playing from the pianist; a loose and easy FOUR OR FIVE TIMES.
I believe that is Ray Smith on piano.
Yes, that’s Ray on piano.
It could be Bo Jullin at the sousaphone.I dont hear or see any string bass player.
Yes, it is Bo Juhlin on the Sousaphone. This looks like one of the incarnations of the Swedish Jazz Kings, (with guests Ray Smith and Mike Pointon. It is not easy to see, but I think the banjoist is Olle Nyman, who was the regular banjo player with Swedish Jazz Kings.
Good Music!
I´m quite sure, it´s Olle Nyman on the banjo.
