“HE CONQUERS THE WORLD”

Don’t let the commercial at the start put you off . . . here is a young hero, Ricky Riccardi, speaking on television about our shared Hero, Louis Armstrong and his House, here.

Doing it “for posterity.”

And if you’re looking for a good book, I suggest this.

May your happiness increase!

  1. Michael,

Thanks for sharing this delightful interview with one of the good guys about another of the good guys.

  2. Michael, this is a very important story; thank you!

For the Louis fans reading your blog, they might also want to consider three books by two of America’s top musicologists writing about jazz. Dr. Thomas Brothers (Duke U.) has two out, “Louis Armstrong’s New Orleans” and “Louis Armstrong – Master of Modernism”, while Brian Harker (Brigham Young) published “Louis Armstrong’s Hot Five and Hot Seven Recordings”. All three are remarkable for their depth and breadth of research, care and attention to detail and an ability to share with the layman the lasting importance of one of the twentieth century’s greatest musicians.
