Lester Young made the transition in 1959, but his soul and his sound are as real and gently tangible as the moon and the breezes.

    Pres,my all-time favorite cat.He played like an angel with soul personified and a heart to match.The sides with Billie in the late thirties were the best records ever made.I have the video side posted; the best of his late years.From 56 or 7.The world should acknowledge his greatness,but i’m dreaming again.—
